Palm Coast Fire Department Display

04/30/2020 by Palm Coast Historical Society

In 2020, the museum hosted a special display marking the 50th anniversary of the Palm Coast Fire Department. The exhibit coincided with the department’s Golden Anniversary and reflected on five decades of fire protection and emergency services in Palm Coast.

The display featured photographs and historical materials illustrating the department’s early years, its growth alongside the developing city, and the firefighters who helped establish public safety services as Palm Coast expanded from a planned community into a city. Images highlighted early equipment, personnel, and facilities, offering visitors a visual look at how fire and emergency response evolved over time.

The anniversary year included community events recognizing past and present firefighters, reflecting on the department’s founding, and acknowledging its role in protecting residents and property throughout Palm Coast’s development. The museum display complemented those events by presenting historical context and visual material connected to the department’s service.
